On September 22nd and 29th, more than 600 students, 19 facilitators, and 15 community partners actively participated in BuckIPE Community Cares, the first module of the BuckIPE Core Curriculum, and the first meeting of BuckIPE longitudinal teams. Students learned about each other's professional aspirations and experiences while learning about the Columbus community's needs from partner organizations. Students also assembled hospital care kits to distribute to the OSU East and University Hospital Emergency Departments. Overall, 95% of the students rated this event as effective or very effective. The Office of IPE looks forward to continuing to work with these students over the rest of their IPE education, and special thanks to the facilitators and community partners involved.
