Community Partners
Be a part of the interprofessional education journey.
Interprofessional collaboration leads to improved outcomes and better solutions for many of the challenges that interfere with health and well-being. We welcome all community members who are interested in working together to champion team-based care—and teach it to the next generation of healthcare providers.

Join a team of passionate healthcare professionals.
We are committed to working meaningfully with students, patients, families, faculty, staff, and health organizations to improve teamwork and health outcomes—locally, nationally, and globally.
Whether you need resources to make an impact within your neighborhood or engagement opportunities to collaborate with our students and practitioners, we can help you get started.
By working with us as a Community Partner, you will:
- Share your personal experiences to help learners understand where and how health really happens in the community
- Shape future professionals’ understanding that the complete care team includes patients, caregivers, and community members
- Build campus-community relationships that strengthen health and health care
Interprofessional Community Scholars Program
The Interprofessional Community Scholars Program pairs students with older adults in the Columbus area who are living with complex chronic health conditions. The residents help students better understand the challenges of navigating a complex healthcare system—while students teach residents digital literacy skills that make it easier to get the care they need.
