November 17, 2025, 11:45 am - 12:45 pm - Connecting IPE Theory to Clinical Practice

Students engage in the theoretical concepts of interprofessional education and practice, but sometimes, it’s difficult to translate those concepts into clinical education, especially for disciplines that are somewhat traditionally siloed in their practice. This session will discuss insights and best practices for faculty to make meaningful translation of IPE theory into clinical education. Register here.

January 14, 2026, 11:30 am - 12:30 pm - Not the Usual Suspects: Partners for Holistic Care in Interprofessional Education and Practice

The core premises of interprofessional education and practice are to improve patient health care experiences and outcomes, improve population health, and to improve the provider experiences as well. This may require partnering with providers from disciplines that you may not have considered. This session will explore inclusive IPCP and within it, interprofessional partners that participants may not have considered. Register here.

February 19, 2026, 11:45 am - 12:45 pm - Building Interprofessional Partnerships in the Community

Interprofessional education and collaboration does not need to stay behind institutional walls. Community partnerships can offer students and faculty potentially unique and rich interprofessional opportunities including real-world experiences, better understanding of drivers and barriers to health care, and expansion of career horizons, all with the benefit of elevating the health of the community. The human-animal bond is something that has taken center stage in recent years. Service animals and support animals have become common place, and are just one example of the importance of collaboration with our veterinary colleagues. Veterinary medicine commonly uses the One Health, a parallel and overlapping framework with IPE. This session will explore the importance of veterinary medicine on the interprofessional team.
